Well im getting pretty excited now. It's only 6week's till I leave for Ireland to pick up my stored bike, and board the ferry for France
This year my mate and I will be concentrating on the Alp's. We enjoyed what short time we flashed through them ,on the purchaced position on the death race from Folkstone to Dubrovnic with Horizon motorcycle tour's. (12 countries in 11day's)
We have no set itinary, and 5 weeks .hopfully we wont have too much trouble finding accommodation each night.
Plan on seeing a lot of Switzerland ,Italy and some of Austria. Maybe touch on the pyranees on the way bac to Roscoff, where the ferry takes us back to Ireland

Sounds like a fun plan ... at the same time we'll be doing Normandy. Our Panzers (BMW's) will be up to all kinds of no good.

The ratio Twisty road /Highway road to go there( Pyrennees) about 6h no stop highway from Alps, and to go back up to Roscoff ( no direct Highway from Pyrennee to French britain (Bretagne) area, so much more than 8h no stop drive) seems not to be in favor of this "excursion" on your way back unless you have 3 or 4 days to spend there....

Ultimate (ex French Grenoblois in Alps, ex Carcassonnais & Toulousain close to Pyrennees).

The Pyrenees are great. The French side is 'pretty' but busy. The Spanish side is very quiet and better roads. But as mentioned its a long way across and a long way back up to the coast. Andorra isn't anything too special either apart from lots of traffic and building sites.
Italy is great, great people and lots of history - but how far down are you planning to go. Not much in the northern parts ( apart from the lakes which are stunning - but busy) The spine of Italy is stunning. Stay out of the large cities and visit the smaller towns - the cities are a death race. Roads in Italy are sh!t, unless you pay on the autostrada - which can get costly but it does get you around pretty quickly.
Switzerland is stunning but busy, Austria is stunning and not as busy, Slovenia is fantastic - check out some of the amazing places to visit. You will need to prepay a tax to travel on Swiss motorways - which you can purchase at most petrol stations and the border control.... and don't get caught speeding - heavy on the spot fines and bike taken off you.

My first natural instinct is to breathe. My second is to evade tax's.

Thanks for that info Matt, We went through Slovenia last year, Bled was wonderful,as was that whole area. We saw Konstanz ,Chur ,St Moritz, Bolzano ,and my favorite ,Cortina. On the way back ,we went over Grosglockner ,and through Kitzbuhel. These were just some of the highlights of the trip.I loved Ireland and Wales. England's history is a bit of a passion for me .But your summer is exactly like our winter

Swagger. You out gun us mate, I surrender like a true italian operator would If you see either a Moto Guzzi 750 Breva, or a HondaVFR 800. ( both 2003 models !) Just execute us ,like we deserve
